Congratulations to the 2013 winners of the MPMSAA Gold Medal & Training Awards

19 June 2013

Congratulations to the 2013 winners of the Master Plumbers & Mechanical Services Association Gold Medal & Training Awards.  This year, fourteen winners, including secondary school students, pre-apprentices, apprentices and newly-graduated plumbers received awards for excellence in their academic studies and, in some cases, on-the-job excellence.

SPR achieved some excellent editorial coverage of the Awards across a range of local suburban and regional media, as well as online.  In particular, our advice to the Association on naming strategy meant that sponsors received an unprecedented number of mentions in the media compared with past events, delighting both client and sponsors.

If you're interested in how to achieve publicity for your awards event, just give us a call on 9391 4603 or 0413 119 673.  We're happy to help.

Mature-age plumbing apprentice Spiros Kanellos (front row, second from left), from Ormond, won this year's Andrew Letten Gold Medal Award, the highest honour bestowed on outstanding plumbing apprentices, at this year's Master Plumbers Gold Medal & Training Awards.  The award is given to the apprentice who has demonstrated a strong commitment to off-the-job studies and has successfully completed the registration exam.  It was presented by His Excellency the Honourable Alex Chernov AC QC, Governor of Victoria and Mr Shayne La Combre representing award sponsor, Plumbing Industry Climate Action Centre.  Mr Kanellos is pictured with the Lord Mayor The Right Honourable Robert Doyle, Governor Alex Chernov, Mr Scott Dowsett, President Master Plumbers, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Honourable Ken Smith, and Mr Ken Gardner, Chief Executive Officer Master Plumbers and other winners.
